(8/28/00) Hartville Collectibles Signing Info - Many thanks to Rose G. for sending this information! Gary will be at the Hartville Collectibles on November 13th, in Hartville, Ohio. When I was up having my bear signed, Gary mentioned my accent didn't sound 'suthern'. I told him I'm originally from Ohio and just moved down here 8 months ago. He wanted to know where from Ohio and told him my favorite place for Boyding is at Hartville. He said..."Two days ago I just agreed to do a signing there in November, about the 13 or 14, I can't remember which day. Maybe you can kill two birds with one stone, go visit your old haunt and see me at that signing!" So, to make a long story short, I spoke with an insider from Hartville and she said Monday, November 13th is the signing. (8/27/00) Report of Olde Homestead Signing on Boyds Website - The Olde Homestead in Lexington, North Carolina recently welcomed The Head Bean to their Platinum Paw store for a four-hour signing. Over 450 collectors traveled from as far away as Georgia and Texas (and a few 'Yankees' made the journey from way up north) to meet and greet their favorite Ol' Uncle Bean. (Front Cover) "The November QVC show will have as its TSV the first in a Christmas series-lighted houses" - On page 9 - "Lighted Houses - During the November QVC mini-series, the new Christmas series Village House will be introduced - and it will be made to accomodate a light! There will be 8 houses in the series."

She is sitting on the floor holding a basket of bread. Beside her is a mixing bowl of rising dough. Also, there are three jars of ingredients, Kindness, Love, Patience. Ribbon across base says. "Recipe for friendship". Verse on bottom says - Recipes are like Friends - no trouble at all. The resin bear (dressed similar to Quality Control) is sitting with a longerberger basket of bread, a mixing bowl of rising dough and three jars of ingredients for friendship..Love, kindness and Patience.
