(12/14/01) Danbury Tree and Train Shipment Update - A few people have mentioned on our Bulletin Board that they received the Christmas Tree and it was beautiful!(12/14/01) Boyds Website Maintenance!! - Teresa, TDS LEFAERIE-SUMPTN TA SAY DPT, from Boyds posted this on the FoB board:
The Head Bean and the Folks at Boyds are gonna be fixin’ some loose wires and reconnectin’ some high-tech circuit breakers on December 17. This could take a few hours, so we have to shut down Boydsstuff for a little while starting early morning... Thanks for yer patience and understanding! Yer Buddies, The Folks at Boyds .

Someone noticed a "boyds? moose" online offered by Hallmark and wondered if it
was Boyds. It is a very cute moose and it sure does look like a Boyds.

(12/7/01) Danbury Tree and Train Shipment Update?!! -

It appears that Danbury sent out one shipment earlier this week and the second one will ship out soon ... so those who ordered it should get it before Christmas. The train may not arrive before Christmas. The Christmas Tree is 12 5/8" high with a base and has 15 Boyds bears on it and 60 LED lights. It has an ON/OFF switch and runs on four AA bateries. The price is $129.00 plus $12.00 shipping and handling. Can be paid for in four installments of $35.25. |
(12/7/01) TDS On "Boyds Discounting" - Many folks are wondering what is allowed by Boyds retailers in regard to discounts. Teresa from Boyds posted this today on the FoB board:
- Ok heres the scoop... Stores are not allowed to discount our product at all...
They can howeva, have in store promotions... such as "Boyds Bucks",
"Dolly Dollars", but no buy one get one 1/2 price..NO NO NO... If you give me
the names of stores that are discounting and you have a receipt, etc. we are
checkin out those stores.... Also there are some higher end department stores
that hike the prices way up... so they can create a "sale" that bring the
price down to what the smaller stores are sellin at anyway... Hope this helps
you understand...

(12/7/01) FOB kits Arriving!! - Some of the instant kits from MFR do not have the 2002 catalogs included in their kits. Boyds said that they were going to be sending the catalogs to the members by mail if they don't get them in the instant kits. Some MFR's are putting the catalogs in their in store instant kits for the customers. The plush redemption piece is a darling bear sitting in a basket! The resin redemption piece is a couple bears playing checkers on a picnic blanket. The member only piece is Noah's life boat (resin).
