(2/29/00) Bearly Built Village Accessories !! - Boyds has told Michelle's Gifts that the village accessories should be shipped about the middle of March. (2/29/00) 1st Boyds QVC Doll Show !! - All the dolls on the first QVC doll show were launches except for the Ballerina. The Ballerina was an exclusive to QVC ... her tutu was a slightly different color (pale pink) than the one at the retail shops. (2/29/00) Boyds Shipping Dates !! - The Easter pieces - due to ship in March.The Mother's Day pieces - due to ship in April.

Bedford Boneah II (2/28/00) Colorful Images Address Labels of Boyds Plush & More !! - In the newest mailing on page 17, you will see the beautiful Boyds plush address labels. The four designs are: Mrs. Trumball, Bailey '99, Lydia and another one. Item #Y461 - Boyds Bears Plush Cut-Outs Variety Pack - $6.95/set of 144. They have some of the spring 2000 resins in it and Flutterpot bear by Boyds and Judith G. on page 81. It's a white bear in a terra cotta pot and butterflies.
If you don't have a catalog, call 1-800-458-7999 (2/27/00) The QVC Boyds March 29th show !! - There will be 8 exclusives, 7 launches, and a Village piece complete with accessories. This information was found on the Boyds website under 'Events'. (2/24/00) ShoeBox Bears ... Snap, Crackle & Pop !! - Collectors have gone to their shelves and lo & behold some of their little shoebox bears have lost some of their extremities. The shoebox bears came out in 1996 and some of the innard rubber bands are breaking. If this happens to yours, call boyds customer service for rubber band replacements (1-717-633-9898 Ext. 2707), but make sure you specify large or small bands. There will be plastic joints on the shoebox bear starting in 2000. (2/27/99) Possible Illegal Transactions On EBay - SAN JOSE, Calif.--The popular Internet auction house, eBay Inc. said Friday that the federal government was investigating it in connection with "possible illegal transactions" on its Web site. Meanwhile, Microsoft Corp. said it discovered a significant portion of the Microsoft software sold on eBay was counterfeit. Those developments were two more blows for eBay, which is wildly popular with Internet consumers but has become controversial for the way it hosts millions of auctions from buyers and sellers around the world, with minimal monitoring. Friday's announcement was the first confirmed report that eBay was the target of a federal investigation. Click here for the full story.

(2/24/99) Boyds Stock - It looks like Gold Paw dealers are being given the opportunity to buy 200 share blocks of the stock.
Gold Paw dealers were sent packets saying that some shares of stock had been set aside for employees, families, and friends of Boyds. The packet had a reservation form for Gold Paw dealers who want to purchase a minimum block of 200 shares of stock. No guarantees of availability were made....but it's nice to see Gold Paw dealers were considered.

(2/22/99) FoB Kits - In New Oxford, PA is a place called the HART Center. It is a non profit place that hires "challenged" adults (clients) to do piece work for companies. Most of the time, this work is work that machines cannot do, and that other adults would never do because it is very tedious. Well, Boyds has just set up a contract with them!!!! How wonderful that they are really helping the disadvantaged adults in the world. The clients were the ones responsible for putting the seed packets together that will be in the FoB kits, and they are going to start in about a week putting together all of our FOB kits. When I was there on Friday (I always volunteer there when I am in PA) I was able to see all the great stuff going into our boxes. The plush is just adorable. I didn't get to see the resin...but I figure I will when I go back soon... or when I get my kit in the mail. - Michele, NJ

(2/18/99) COLLECTOR'S VALUE GUIDE - RESIN EDITION IS OUT - Harry Croft sent this information to us ... The 1999 NEW CVG RESIN BOOK IS OUT! Just got several reports from collectors who said they have received their NEW 1999 CVG resin book. It has 204 pages, bigger and better photographs of the Boyds resin. The release of the plush book (228 pages with exclusives and pictures) is due out any day! I haven't received my copy yet, but from what the others told me it is a job well-done! I guess the rest of us will just have to wait a couple of more days.

(2/10/99) QVC's Mary Beth - and her husband Mark adopted a baby girl. She was born in January. Her name is Elizabeth, but they call her Princess. Her boys love having a sister and think she is beautiful. Mary Beth plans to continue taking some time off from work to enjoy her daughter. She will return to QVC full time in March.
