(1/18/02) Boyds Check Book Cover! - A Check Book Cover was made available for 2002 by Artistic Checks. The style is "Proud To Be An American Bear". It's a tan/cream background, with a darker brown trim. The cost is $19.95 plus shipping and handling.

(1/18/02) Checkerbee and Collector's Value Guide (CVG) for 2002?? - There has been so much speculation about Checkerbee. Some say they are out of business or going out of business, but others say that they are still in business. Also, there is conflicting information about if and when the 2002 CVG will come out.

(1/10/02) Pudge Honeypot - Launch or Exclusive ??! - TDS LEFAERIE-SUMPTN TA SAY DPT , just posted this on the FoB board in response questions about Pudge.
Pudge was listed as a launch, yet the description of him on the Boyds website lists him as hand numbered and signed. Is he a launch or is he an exclusive? "according ta my notes all of the below is correct... he is a launch and he is numbered and has Liz's signature stamped on the hang tag... and he sound wunnerfull.... Teresa"
(1/10/02) QVC Scoop From Liz !! - Liz, VP of Stuff, posted this on the FoB board last night: hello to everyone! just wanted to say a quick hi and give you some inside info on qvc stuff for saturday. first, qvc is(for the first time on collector's day) mixing the resin and plush together in both shows. usually the 1 hour show is resin, 2 hour= plush, so don't be confused when everything is mixed as we do on other shows. next...there are some fun exclusive colorways in the shows. i don't know what kind of descriptions qvc posts, but they are described as "exclusive editions" and there is a dollstone, a charming angel, a faerie and a bearstone. also...please share your opinions and thoughts about the brand new "faerie whispers" that will be on. on the plush side, someone has already posted some information about the exclusive with the heart/valentine theme... it's a cutie. one of the fun things (and i'm not sure that qvc has posted this information anywhere) is that since this is an anniversary show for us, qvc has all purchases in the shows on deferred billing until april. that's a first for us. please tell us if that's a bonus, or unimportant. well...it's late and i'm going to say goodnight. if there is anything special anyone wants to know, just post it and TDS or i will try to answer before saturday's shows. bearhugs...liz
(1/8/02) Boyds' Ornament Collection By Danbury Mint !! - Collectors are beginning to receive flyers in the mail about a set of 12 Boyds' ornaments being put out by The Danbury Mint. The ornaments are solid brass finished w/ 23kt gold. Enamel inks are used to bring them to life. The hanger is a burgundy satin ribbon. They send two every other month and they are $14.95 each. There is also a storage box for all the ornaments they send at no additional charge. The first are Grace, Born to Shop, Wilson Love Sonnets, and Henry and Sarah. They measure 3" in height.
