Here is the link to the item above: Boyds tapestry (7/20/00)Boyds Catalogs Included With Newsletter! - According to TDS, the fall Plush, resin and Christmas catalogs are coming in the mail with the newsletter. Boyds is in the process of mailing them soon. In the meantime, you can read the current newsletter (the one coming in the mail) on line. Go to F.O.B. Newz and it should be the second paragraph where you click to download to Acrobat Reader. If you already have Acrobat just click the blue letters and it will download in a few minutes. It is 8 or 9 pages. If you need to download Acrobat Reader, there is a link right there to do that too. The print is small if you print it out, but it is nice to read on the monitor screen. (7/27/00) 2001 FoB Kit Theme Has Mixed Reviews! - This was posted by TDS LEFAERIE-SUMPTN TA SAY DPT on the Boyds Website: I'm sorry you are so disappointed..from what I understand we took a survey and most of yer fellow collectors ask fer the circus theme...Next year when we ask fer what ya would like puhleze by all means submit yer thoughts...We know sum of ya's are disappointed and sum of ya's are delited...it verdy hard ta pick one idea to please so many wunnerful true blue collectors. I really believe lots of folks requested it...and as ya know we here at Boyds do the bestes we can ta puhleze ya folks...hang in there with us and maybe next years we will use yer thoughts. (7/26/00) Clarification on Gary's Signing Limits - In the latest issue of Bears Tales & Trails, Millie and Harry Croft reported that when Bob Derr (Burke's Dad) chatted with Gary, he told Bob that "Burke doesn't count as one of the pieces to be signed on the "bring one - buy one ... two piece limit". It's a bonus for a good cause."
Due to time constraints, shops may have special guidelines in place. Maybe Burke could be the bear you bring with you to the signing. Check out each shop's specific signing guidelines before you attend, so you will know all the details.

(7/23/00) FoB 2001 Kit Theme - Here's what Boyds has on their website about the 2001 FoB Kit: We have come up with a circus theme - the bright lights, big tent, three rings, flyin' trapezemen, the works! We're shoppin' around for elephants and clowns - hard ta find in the middle of Cow Town - but have had no trouble roundin' up the side show folks (they're comin' outta the woodwork!). We're gonna be sendin' out the order forms to yer local Boyds Stockist in September. That means kits should arrive in stores by Thanksgiving. So start stockin' up on the Jiffy Pop and Peanuts - it won't be long before we get this show on the road! (7/20/00) Free Boyds Catalogs! - The FoB eNewsLetter mentioned that if we bought a 2000 kit, we would get free catalogs. These catalogs are being mailed with the hard copy newsletters. The Newsletter is in a PDF format which requires Acrobat Reader to view it on your computer and it's free to download. Just click on the Acrobat icon provided which is located right next to the "Click here to download F.O.B. eNewsletter" in the Newz and you will be taken to the Adobe Acrobat Reader webpage for download instructions. Follow their instruction to download the free Acrobat Reader. You can save the .exe file on your desktop so you can find it later easily. ( This process is to download the EXECUTION file which is required later to install the Reader). Once the download is completed, go to your desktop (or whereever you saved the .exe file) and click on it and follows the steps on your screen. (You will be actually installing the Reader onto your computer hard drive during this process.) Once the installation is completed, close the window and click on the link that says "Click here to download F.O.B. eNewsletter". You should be able to view the Newsletter then. (7/20/00) Boyds Removed From NewBargains.com! - New Bargains website will no longer be selling Boyds merchandise. A few people report that New Bargains had just gotten notice today not to expect any more shipments of Boyds (7/20/00) Boyds Bears Fall Event - Oct 14, 2000! - Lizzie is the FIRST in the newest line of Boyds called the Wishkibbles ...more of her family are to follow ... She has "armature" ... which allows her legs and arms to bend. Her arms and legs have wires inside so that you can pose her the way you like. She can even stand on one leg! see picture here (7/20/00) Major Mistake Makes Noah's Ark Waterglobe A Collector's Dream Come True! - Boyds reported this on their website: Here we were, pumpin' out the Noah's Ark Waterglobes, and we didn't even see the flub-up until a friend at the factory sent us a little letter… "Oh, by the way…ya know those 5,321 waterglobes ya just shipped out? Well, the rockin' boat inside's goin' the wrong way" (you can tell if it's a faulty waterglobe if the kangaroos are on the front view). So now ya gotta scramble to yer local dealer and see if you can find one…don't wanna miss out on a major collectible! (7/20/00) News From Boyds About Rearranging The Resins! -
This Fall, the Folks at Boyds have done a little reworkin' with our Resin Collections. Oh hush, it ain't as bad as ya think! We've taken all the animal groupings, formerly "sub-species" of Wee Folkstones, and placed 'em under one umbrella-we're callin' it Critters & Co. The members of this illustrious group are: Ribbit & Co., The Garden Gang, The Tuxedo Gang, and The Moose Troop (the moose what?). After a campin' trip to Maine, THB thought it'd be kinda nice to have a collection of moose (meese, mooses?) that fight for just causes (so what if they're a little clumsy…makes 'em all the more endearing!). All the snowmen - whether from Folkstones or Wee Folkstones - we lumped (shoveled?) together in one collection … The Snow Dooodes (it was really late and we just got done watchin' "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure"). They're a "melt by day, play by night" sorta gang that love to spread snow and ice across the roadways. And their snowball battles are sumptin' else! Do not get caught in that crossfire! Don't fret-Wee Folkstones will continue to be Faeries and Gnomes. We luv 'em as much as you do! (7/19/00) Boyds on QVC Collector's Day! - Here's the news from the Boyds Website: Hoskins Q.
