They took 3 older cats in the regular line and they are adding pumpkin and ghostly sweaters on them for the upcoming spooky season. They are due to be shipped out in July and August.

(6/14/99) New Rosemont signing letters arriving!!! - Harry Croft posted this on our bulletin board: After a few frantic phone calls and emails from our readers who were confused, we checked with Boyds (Monday, June 14, 1999) to discover the facts behind the letter being sent to collectors regarding the change in tickets for the signing on Saturday and Sunday at Rosemont. Here’s what we found out: FIRST - there was a mistake made in the date - letter stated “MARCH 21ST” and the correct date should have been “MARCH 20TH”. But in their eagerness to get the letter out (mailed Thursday, June 10th), especially so that the people in California would have the letter in time so that they could change their plans if they wanted to, the date was mistyped. SECOND -Tickets for the signing have been reduced, but the chat tickets are still the same - come on to the chat! Gary will sign on Saturday and Sunday, BUT the SIGNING WILL ONLY BE FOR FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE (1) HOUR EACH DAY. His doctor has told him to reduce the signing time. THE CHAT will be the same - HOUR + ON SATURDAY. THIRD - Talking to Boyds, Gary is on the road to recovery, gaining weight, looking good, but just needs time to get the body back to his high intensity of activity. When you see him at Rosemont, you’ll be reassured - GARY’S BACK! FOURTH - There was some discussion on the boards and in our emails about collectors saying they called in and the operator said “they were the first”. Boyds said that they had over 20 operators on duty March 20th and that the operators started at different times. That could account for the misunderstanding. (6/11/99) Cat Lovers!!! - Special piece to selected dealers is Nana Purrington and Gouda. Nana in her lovely hat with silk flowers is out pushing baby mouse Gouda in her carriage (it's actually Emily's carriage which is a little larger than the one we know as Baileys). Gouda in her lovely pink sweater is enjoying all the sights.

(6/6/99) Head Bean Rosemont Signing and Chat Tickets arriving! - The Rosemont Signing & Chat Tickets started arriving late last week. There was a note in it marked "Doctor's Orders". Here is what it states:
"The Headbean may not be feeling' 100% for his full weekend of activities at Rosemont. Soooo.....the Doctor has Ordered... Don't overdue it!!! Why should the Headbean starting listening to someone now? His signing times may be cut short if we notice the Headbean doozzzzzin' off or signing his hand instead of your Boyds piece. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that the Head Bean will be able to sign for as long as originally planned. But you know Gary... he always makes every effort possible to serve his customers! We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you at the Boyds booth at Rosemont. ... Your Friends at Boyds!"
