Diane posted on our Bulletin Board that she just spoke with QVC -- the doll Jamie is sold out. They do have a waitlist, though. It was limited to only 2000. (3/18/99) 1998 redemption pieces - Mikki, Michelle's Gifts posted this on our bulletin board: "Yesterday I spoke with Boyds about the 1998 redemption pieces. Here is what I was told......If the pieces were ordered before Jan then they should be into the Boyds warehouse the first of April. (that's pretty soon). If they were ordered between Jan 15 and Mar 15 then they will arrive in May. If they are ordered after Mar 15 then it will be June or July.

When I say ordered, I don't mean when YOU turned in your certificate but when your store turned them into Boyds. Please try to be patient and remember that unlike other items Boyds cannot order extra on these but only the exact number ordered from members because these cannot be sold except as club member pieces.

Sadie is expected to be in our warehouse for shipment by the end of April! They are now taking orders for shipment as soon as Sadie arrives! $20.00. Tia sent me the info on this exclusive bear! (3/10/99) Boyds Hour on QVC? Rumor has it that there will be an unannounced Boyds program on March 11, 1am EST. It is scheduled to be a one hour program.

(3/10/99) Update on Canadian Plush Exclusives - GP Gold was originally the only new canadian plush and was limited to 3600 pieces. When AP Gold was added the edition was changed. Now they will be limited to 4800 pieces of each ap and gp gold.

(3/9/99) Boyds In Print Again! - The latest edition (April 99) of Figurines & Collectibles magazine features The Boyds Collection, Ltd. with a full page in it's UPDATES (page 14). Several resins are pictures along with information on the Loyal Order of Friends of Boyds & the 1999 Special Event.

Also, The Boyds Resins are included in their Secondary Market Report from the Collectors' Information Bureau on page 37.

(3/8/99) Noah's Ark Drafting Table on eBay - Harry Croft spoke to Boyds today and they are aware of the situation with the FoB Noah's drafting table being sold on ebay. Boyds will do whatever they can legally to help us collectors.

(3/8/99) Noah's Ark Drafting Table Mistakes? - Noah's Ark Drafting Table (F.o.B member item) have been found with edition #'s on it. Mikki, Michelle's Gifts called Boyds & found out that this piece was not supposed to have any edition #'s on it. This piece was to have just the F.o.B. stamp on the bottom. We have heard of 1es, 2es & 3es so far from collectors themselves. Keep your eyes open for these! Boyds is working to correct the situation now!

(3/7/99) Errors in CVG Guides! - While the Collectors Value Guide^tm continuously serves as a wonderful resource for Boyds Collectors, there seems to be a few errors with each printing. (3/5/99) CVG for Boyds Plush Hits The Streets! CVG is the Collectors Value Guide (AKA Checkerbee Publishing) - Harry Croft reports just receiving the "NEW 1999 BOYDS PLUSH ANIMALS". It is 124 pages, with large individual pictures, more background info, much easier to read, pictures of exclusives, regular plush, etc., cost $14.95. With CVG's new plush book & Mary Jo's Check N It III - you have excellent reference/resource material for the plush. I talked to CVG today about the resin book and some of the mistakes - use their web site to email any mistake you find in the new book. Oh yes, I will take my resin/plush books over to Kinkos to be spiral book - it's the greatest. Take care, Harry

For those collectors who sign up with stores and don't receive their 1999 membership kits before the March 20th "call-in" - they can still call in on March 20th. Their names will be put on a "WAIT LIST". The important fact is that their tickets will be reserved for them. Boyds will hold their tickets until the stores send in the 1999 FoB membership application. If there is problem, Boyds will contact the store to check on the where- abouts of the collector's application. - the reserve tickets will be held until April 15th.
