Kristy & Capt*n Ron's Boyds Tracker Website
… The website was updated today with new information including system requirement for the CD which is the #1 asked question...
#2 What role did we play in this? - I can best describe our role in the Plush Tracker by using the analogy of a Professional Sports Team. Think of us and the ‘Coach’ or better yet the 'Capt*n's' (if you will, pun intended LoL) then the many contributors who helped with things like photos, values, editing, Well - they would have to be ‘Key Players’ on the team. Bangzoom of coarse would be the Owner, and Boyds – well they would be the Sponsors. So to round it out… we all acted as a Team in this huge task… it was the ‘Team effort’ So, though we do welcome the thanks but, we can’t take all the credit. When your books come, take note of those contributors in the acknowledgements and also thank them!
#3 When is the Resin going to be done? – There is nothing new to report, other than it is under construction and will have to go through the same process as the Plush did… It is coming along. The Bearstones section is completed. We just finished the Gnome homes photos and believe it or not have all but one of the 37 total accounted for… The Master series on the other hand has a big gap but is closing. We are not the resin experts though so we had to ‘scout’ for that talent and pass the baton. Our help only came with the old history like Gnome Homes, Masters Series, owls and Ken Walker pieces. Right now they are working on editorials and values… so it is taking shape. Would be happy to give updates as we know it. But, please don’t email if that’s your only question… I know it’s not fair that you guys have to wait… but they only could do one thing at a time and the Plush happened to be it. Sorry if you’re only a Resin Collector
Let me also say that we can’t wait for you guys to get them. I think it will blow you away to see so many rare and never seen before items that will have you saying... I didn’t know Boyds made that. The CD too is going to be a real treat that will help you catalog your items with the click of the mouse. It really is designed to go along with the book. You can also add your own photos if you want to keep track of new thing as they come out.
I’m going to have to share some of the 'trails and tribulations' of what actually went into this with you guys someday. I know I hope to be able to look back on it all and be able to have a good laugh. I mean the things that were not so funny at the time… Like the speeding ticket I got on Friday when I made a 14 hour round trip to pick up your Trackers from the printers! Ouch!! Or the time later the next day when carrying a 50 lb case of books into my office only to lose old of the door which resulted me locking myself out of the building at 2:00 o’clock in the morning and my cell phone was inside?! Yea, it’s those things I can’t wait to have a good laugh… or cry… I’m not sure yet LoL!!
BTW, in keeping with Murphy’s law… all things happen in 3’s… if some lucky candidate winds up with Book #3 and it reads to Nise’ inside… please email me… I’ll be happy to reward you with some lucky prize for returning it. After working all weekend my friend Denise came in Monday morning to help me so that we could get everything in the mail! I could have done it without her zero hour help… anyway, she was so good at stuffing envelopes that she managed to stuff her book in the envelopes!
Kudos to my Postmaster who also stayed late that day to hand stamp each and every one to see to it that they made it out that day… they started at 3:00 pm and went into overtime. Each and everyone had to be bar coded… and we didn’t know that. I asked for weeks ahead of time what could I do to make their job easier… and we thought we were doing the right thing… but because it weighs over a pound they had to be done by hand. I found that out today! What a Guy!!

We know many of you have been asking questions about a new Boyds publication. And, yes, what you’ve been hearin’ through the grapevine is true…The Folks at Boyds are now workin’ on a brand new country style magazine called Simple Livin™.
So what will you find as you flip through the pages?
Simple Livin’ is about family, home, hearth, friends…all those things we value most in life, and will be written in a style that will make each and every reader feel like part of a big family, like they’re reading a letter from a favorite relative.
Simple Livin’ will be useful and informative, offering tips and techniques - the best recipe for bread, how to organize a family reunion or track your family’s history, and how to craft projects that will often times feature Boyds products.
Simple Livin’ will tell the stories about people and places…whether it’s an article about a toy maker whose primitive crafts continue to delight children, the farmer who’s launched an heirloom seed project, or a destination piece that will take readers on a journey back through time.
Above all, Simple Livin’ will “make you laugh or sigh.” Tentative launch date is July 1. How can folks get their hands on this fun and informative publication? You can order directly from us (via this web site), purchase at your local Boyds Dealer (if he or she carries it), and buy a batch when you come to visit Boyds Bear Country™. We’ll keep you posted as we draw closer to launch date!
